BACKGROUND

The power plant roof slab was reported to be leaking on the roof slab floor, despite the presence and the use of Bituminous Felt Membrane protection.

SOLUTION

The Concrete Logistics team were contacted to provide a permanent waterproofing solution for the roof slab.  The solution provided by the team included the removal and disposal of weak plaster and screed to expose the concrete for treatment. A new screed was done prior to waterproofing. The construction joints between the steel and the floor slabs were made watertight using our Krystol Steel Penetration treatment.

Finally, the concrete surfaces were permanently waterproofed with our Laticrete hydroban and Laticrete 302 surface treatments. With these treatments, the plant was rendered watertight.
