BACKGROUND

The Client called on Concrete Logistics to have a look at the leakage in bathrooms of a private residence and proffer a lasting waterproofing solution. Upon visual inspection of the bathrooms, it was observed that water seeped through the concrete slab, into the room beneath.  The area around the PVC Pipe penetration also was a source of leakage.

SOLUTION

The tiles in the bathrooms were removed, to get to the concrete beneath, prior to the application of the Krystol Pipe Penetration treatment. Two coats of Laticrete Hydro Ban were applied (first coat is applied and cured, then the second coat is applied) after the leakage around the pipe penetration was curbed using the pipe penetration treatment.
